Our Purpose

 

 

The Glade Community Historical Society (GCHS) was established on November 5, 2011, for the purpose of preserving the history of Glade, Pine Log and Garfield, Arkansas. By researching and gathering stories, documents and artifacts, we hope to preserve the presence of these communities and enable future generations to understand the contributions of pioneering families in Northwest Arkansas.

All current and former Glade, Pine Log and Garfield residents, their descendants, and those with a special interest in these communities are encouraged to become members of GCHS, Inc.  Please consider submitting your oral histories and old family pictures to our organization so we can establish and preserve a history of this area.

We are a 501c(3) non-profit organization, so your dues and donations are tax-deductible.
